Maria Tavani
Speech-Language Pathologist

Maria received her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alabama after completing a Bachelor’s in Music and Communication Sciences and Disorders at Florida State University. She is passionate about the importance of literacy in language development, and she has worked as a specialist in language-based reading and writing therapy for children and adolescents with dyslexia and other reading disorders. She also has experience working with children that have a variety of communication difficulties, including receptive/expressive language disorders, articulation disorders, stuttering, autism, and developmental delay. Maria loves working with kids and believes therapy can be fun as they learn and develop skills for functional communication.
Maria is a new resident of the Pacific Northwest, and she enjoys exploring and having adventures outdoors with her husband. A passionate musician, she also loves playing oboe, ukulele, accordion, and piano.
