Cecelia "Cece" Bruns
Speech-Language Pathologist

Cece is originally from Virginia where she received a double Bachelors in Communication Science Disorders and Spanish, and spent a semester in Spain interning at a rehab facility. She then moved to Miami where she earned a Masters in bilingual Speech-Language Pathology from Florida International University.
Her mom is also a Speech Therapist, so Cece had a natural inclination toward the field and found it was a good way to combine her love of languages with helping others. She’s worked in private clinics and various hospital settings where she became certified as a Feeding Specialist. Cece enjoys working with feeding and swallowing disorders in the infant and pediatric population, in particular medically fragile children, transitioning them from alternative feed methods to oral feeding.
Cece is passionate about working with different cultures and is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Offering speech therapy in English and Spanish, she loves educating families on how to encourage multiple language usage in the home environment.
She brings an upbeat, fun approach to therapy at BPHT, while encouraging family education and involvement. In her free time, Cece likes to travel and stays active outdoors through hiking and skiing.
