Listen to two parents of children with special needs share their strategies for battling insurance companies and navigating through school districts for the best care.
Crystal Floyd, a mom of two boys with special needs. She has years of experience navigating, battling, and fighting with insurance companies to insure that her sons receive the best care possible. Crystal is also involved in the Lake Washington School district and community, and working with the organization Northwest Special Families.
Michelle Lehner worked as a Para-educator in the edmonds school district for years. She has experience both as a mother of a child with special needs and a professional working with children with special needs in schools. Her understanding of the special ed programs in schools will give you great insight into available options and ways to advocate for your child’s needs.
