I love being an OT

I love being an OT

The best thing about being a hand therapist during National Occupational Therapy month is experiencing the elegance in positioning the hand to, for instance, wipe droplets from the top of a window during a cold April morning and realizing you’re receiving just the right amount of pressure sensation through the palm, wrist and other joints to clean without streaks. Then also feeling the smooth cool glass under the fingers.

I love being able to help my patients rediscover pleasure in small and ordinary experiences that they may have been missing until coming to OT.
